Realistic Duct Tape

1. Create a new document of any size. Create a new layer. Select rectangular marquee tool and drag making a rectangular shape. I have change the layer name to duct.

2. Select a gray shade from foreground color palette. Press Alt+Backspace to fill the rectangular area. Press Ctrl+D to deselect the duct layer.

3. Press D to change to Default background and foreground color. Lets add some noise. Goto Filter->Noise->Add noise. Apply following settings:



4.Add some texture to the duct layer. Go to Filter->Texture->Texturizer and apply settings:



5. Fade the texture a bit by going to Edit->Fade Texturizer and set the opacity to 50%.

6. Double click the Duct layer to bring Layer style window and apply following settings:





7. Using Lasso tool make a selection to the edges of the duct layer so that it looks like torn off.



And press delete. Repeat the same at the other side.



8. Create a new layer. I have named it wrinkles. Change the opacity of wrinkles layer to 50% and fill to 0%. Double click this layer to bring the layer style window. Apply the following settings:



9.Set the foreground color to black. Using Lasso tool make selections on the tape area to look like wrinkles and press Alt+Backspace to fill it.


10. Make many wrinkles like that.


Some wrinkles are extending outside the tape to overcome this problem right click the wrinkle layer and select Create clipping mask. If you want can add some text and change its blending mode to Overlay.

Water color effect

This tutorial is about creating a very easy and fast way to achieve water color effect to the photos. It wont take more than 3 minutes to do it.

To create watercolor painting effect we need a bright image.









1. Open the image.


We need three copy of this image layer. So press Ctrl+J three times. Now hide the first 2 layers lets work on 'Layer 1'. Go to Filter->Artistic->Cutout and apply following settings:



2.Now change the Blending mode to Luminosity.




3. Now unhide the second layer(Layer 1 copy). Make sure the layer is selected and go to Filter->Artistic->Dry brush and apply following settings:



4. Change the blending mode to Screen.

5. Now unhide the second layer(Layer 1 copy2). Make sure the layer is selected and go to
Filter->Noise->Median and change the radius to 12 pixels. Also change the blending mode to Soft Light.

Realistic Grass texture

1. Create a new document. Fill in the background with grass green color.>I used the color. Goto Filter->Add noise->Noise and apply following settings




2.Blur the layer with Gaussian layer. Filter->Blur->Gaussian blur. Set the radius to 1 pixel.

3. Goto Filter->Stylize->Wind Change the settings to Method:Stagger and Direction:From the right.

4.Now select Image->Rotate canvas->90CW. Again apply the wind effect(Filter->Stylize->Wind). Change the settings to Method:Stagger and Direction:From the left.

5. Flip the image by selecting Image->Rotate canvas->90CCW. Adjust the contrast of the image by Image->Adjustments->Levels



Final result is
