Photoshop Tutorial- Simple yet elegant business card.

Today we are going to see photoshop tutorial for a business card. Its a very very simple yet elegant looking business card. And it will be surely helpful for amateur designers.

So, here's my tutorial:

1: Create a new document and apply following settings:









2:Now drag a horizontal guide till 3cm mark. (FOR BEGGINNERS: Select view -> New guide. Select Horizontal for orientation and enter 3cm for position and click OK)

Repeat step 2 to create horizontal guide till 2.75cm mark and 2.5cm mark (so total 3 guides).
Now the document will look like:
3: Now select Rectangular marquee tool from the 3cm mark till the bottom half of the document. So it looks like:




Now create a new layer(Layer -> New -> Layer (Shift+Ctrl+N).
Select paint bucket tool from toolbar. Now fill the new layer with a color of your choice. I have used #358ee3 color.
ctrl+d to deselect.
Now the document will look like:





4: Again using Rectangular marquee tool select the area between 2.75cm and 3cm. Create a new layer, fill this layer with the same color used before.
In the layer window right click this layer and select blending options.
Select the gradient overlay style at the left side and make the following settings:




5: Again using Rectangular marquee tool select the area between 2.5cmcm and 2.75cm. Create a new layer, fill this layer with color of your choice. I have used #d0dbe5 color.
In the layer window right click this layer and select blending options. And apply the same gradient overlay style as Step 4.
Now the outcome is:




6: Now add texts at desired places using type tool. Also you can add compan logo.
So the final outcome is:
